Hi everyone,

I installed Win XP on one HD and then Win 7 on another, so I have a boot menu asking which Windows I want to start. Is there an easy way to tell Windows : « always start Win 7 and don't ask me again » ?

go in the bios and set the windows 7 hard drive to boot 1st

then in windows 7 go to advanced settings--start up and recovery and drop the time to show operating

systems to about 2 seconds

so you dont have to wait too long or press enter when its booting

Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > (Advanced Tab) > (Startup and Recovery) Settings > Default Operating system, Select Windows 7 in the dropdown menu, Uncheck box: "Time to display list of operating systems"

Have fun =P

then set it to zero instead of 2 seconds

though cant see the point of them having a dual boot if they dont want to be able to select xp

If you set it to zero, the screen will still flash, because apparently, microsoft doesn't understand what zero means.... but they get it right when they divide by zero ^.^
