Amazon.com lists a standard 256mb of Viking rdram. However they also list Viking 256mb rdram modules that are "specified" to a select few motherboards. I noticed these "special" modules for Abit, Asus, and Intel. Does anyone know what makes these memory modules so special? Possibly affect performance or stabilty? If so, enough that it warrants the extra $45 a module? I'm I wrong in thinking its nothing more than a cute marketing ploy to squeeze even more money from unsuspecting buyers? Please email me if you have any info regarding this matter. Cuz I have no friggin clue what the deal is.....
