Strange 'Thunk' Sound coming from PC

Hey guys!

ive had my current system now for almost a year.
i7 3820
rampage iv formula
16gb corsair vengeance
coolermaster silent pro 700w
evga gtx 680
antec kuhler 620
120gb ssd + 2tb segate hdd

Every hour or so, sometime half hour, i hear a thumk noise. Everything works fine and has been working fine all this time.
Please know that i have had my 2tb segate hdd for 2 years, so could it be the hdd?

Yes, it could the hard disk drive. I have an hdd that does that sound occasionally, too. Sometimes it does this randomly, or whenever i'm trying to access it when it is in standby mode.
