I have recently contacted XFX about a problem that my card has had since I've gotten it, but only very recently have I become very annoyed with it, and I never worried about it due to the life time warranty.
The problem with this card is that it will not boot on my pc without resetting the pc twice via the switch on the back of my psu.
XFX has already issued me an RMA, but I don't want to send my card in only to have a newer generation card, but with lower performance. I don't expect to receive another 4850 back unless they can repair the issue on mine, but it appears to be a very common problem. I am just hoping that I will receive a card with comparable performance.
Anyone have any experience with RMA'ing older cards and how XFX decides on a fair replacement?
Input on ATI, AMD, and nvidia cards are welcome.
Also I am aware that this card is rather old, but I plan on using it until I get an eyefinity setup, and then upgrading cards.
