Hello All,

First off - this is my first post here and although I'm quite handy with the screwdrivers, I'm not very pc savvy so please be gentle with me!

A little whie ago I built myself a PC pretty much just for playing games.
(probably the most expensive Call of Duty ever!)

Unfortunately the case has proved to big for my little house and had to go.
I recently came accross the Alienware X51 - a gaming beast in a small case.
However, that comes with a huge price tag.
It did get me thinking though - could I build my own again in a tiny case?

I got all excited over the Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe motherboard which is mini ITX and would go in a nice small Mini ITX case.
Very nearly pressed the buy button, but realised just in time my old CPU wouldn't fit (booo!)

So, this is where I'm hoping you guys & girls may be able to help me.
To save money, I'd like to re-use some parts from my old 'gaming' pc, namely

The CPU - an i7-875K which I believe is the 1156 socket
The Graphics card - a Gigabyte GTX560Ti
Maybe the power supply - a Corsair TX750W
Plus the hard drive, dvd writer and RAM (if possible)

Would you be able to recommend a suitable gaming mini ITX motherboard, case (smaller the better) and a cooler that would fit? (my old cooler is huge!)

Or am I restricting myself by using the 'old' parts and would be better to start frm scratch?
Cost is obviously a factor, but also I don't want to try and build a mini gaming beast that turns out to be a gaming flop!

Any help and advice you have is greatly appreciated...

Hmmm,
I'm starting to realise by the lack of replies, much forum reading and googling till my fingers hurt, that socket 1156 itx boards are pretty much discontinued everywhere, which turns my i7-875 cpu into a door wedge!

If I understand everything I've read maybe these would make a good gaming setup?

i5-3570K CPU - gets mentioned everywhere as the 'best' for gaming
Asus P877-I Deluxe board - again rave reviews everywhere
Reuse my Gigabyte GTX560Ti graphics card

Probably reuse the hard drives and ram from my old pc (but will have to check the ram)

How am I doing so far?

If you like the above, could you recommend a case (smaller the better) CPU cooler and power supply.
(I think the Corsair TX750W might be too big?)

Thanks in advance for your help.
