I have charter digital cable and a replay 5040. So I don't have DVD's
laying
around I often store my dvd's on my replay. I am looking for a tv
that is from 20" to 30" and am open to crt or LCD. My understanding
is that HD and or a wide screen format tv would not improve my picture
since I use a replay.
Any suggestions on which tv would be best ?

I prefer the wide format but the only real answer is that you need to go
to a place that has lots of models on display and decide what you like
and can afford.

A HTDVset does get a much better picture on DVD if the DVD player has
a component video output and you don't go through the Replay.
Yes, I see your advantage of storing DVDs on the Replay, things are
this way (you get some advantage one way, some another).
