Mini ITX Gaming Build

Hi, this is my first build and I would just like a couple things checked over, my PSU and GPU. I was just wondering if there is anything shorter (this one's 140mm) and if this 500w is sufficient? Regarding the GPU, I have changed my mind from a 660 ti to a 7950 but may go back for one reason; size. I'm wondering which 7950 would be best for me (as in price:performance and size) because I don't want it to conflict with the modular PSU, so basically the question here is, which GPU will fit?

Thanks in advance.

  1. Graphics cards, up to 310mm(~12.2") in length, when 2 HDD brackets are removed, so it fits any 660 ti and most 7950.
If you want an amd card, the 7950 xfx is cheaper in the uk(it will fit), i would get the xfx 550, it will fit in the case, it's not modular, but it's probably cheaper.

Overall your build is solid, just changed the ram for the samsung, it's cheaper, and it's also a good one.
  2. Hi, thank you very much for your help, I will go for that GPU. Am I right in thinking that when that PSU goes in the case the fan will be facing down, meaning that all the cables will be on the right, out of the way of the GPU?
    Thanks again.

  4. The psu will be in the bottom(with the fan facing down) like this : http://www.anandtech.com/Gallery/Album/2453#4

The xfx is a rather small psu with some what some short cables(in this case a pro), it will still have a lot of cables around, so if you fell uncomfortable with that, you can get a modular psu, just remember that it has to be small one.
