Will a Pci-e 2.1 cards works with pci-e 1.1 or 1.0

Will a Radeon 6670 (pci-e 2.1) work in a pci-e 1.1 or 1.0 on a Asus P5Kpl-am epu. Is there be a bottleneck or not work at all?

There will be no bottleneck.Pci exp are backward compaitable.pci exp 2.1 have no problem with pci 1.x most of the time.but sometimes have problem with old mobo therefore you should update your bios from mobo website.then you are ready to go with hd 6670.

I would be very careful with PCI-E 2.1 cards they were a rare format that AMD had placed out and typically on work on boards that were compatible with 2.1 in a PCI-E 3.0 slot I'm sure they would work but I would be a bit worrisome to use it in a 1.0 slot
