Can My Pc Run Games?

Hi i recently upgraded my old pc a whole bunch and wanted to know if it can run games

-4 Gig ddr2 Ram

-AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ 2.6 GHz

-Nvidia Gefore Gt 610

-320 Gigabyte Hardrive

-WMCP78 Motherboard

-240 watt PSU

-Windows Ultimate 64 bit

I've installed all the components except the cpu, and im hoping it can run minecraft around 60 fps and tf2 around 80 fps on high graphics

Please tell me what my build will be able to run, any other components i may need

The GT 610 is not a strong gaming graphics card

but plug it all in and see how it goes

If your on a budget the cpu, mobo and ram are ok.
The gt610 is a poor gaming card! I know I had one..lol

No, this will not game. Minecraft will run on tiny/low settings at 20fps ish and tf2 is old but I doubt you will run it past low settings. Your CPU is old and weak by modern standards and your GPU is more meant for Playing Hd videos and powerpoints.

My budget is around 100$ to spend on upgrades i was hoping not to have to upgrade psu or case

unfortunately $100 won't get you far here. You need a new PSU/GPU/RAM/MOBO/CPU.

This is old and to be honest its best to just save up and build a whole new computer.

Honestly, no. Maybe on lowest possible settings with resolution reduced. It won't really be playable. Your CPU is old and your GPU is awfully weak. Its barely better than intel integrated 4000 graphics.

No. That GPU is very weak. Its about equal to integrated Intel graphics 4000.

Your absolutely wrong that cpu may be old but it's not weak.
It's enough for a 7850 with small bottlenecks, overclock it a bit and it will definitely do well but after a bit you will need a new cpu!

Please do not post false information. Here is a benchmark of the CPU compared to an intel g620. (bottom end for modern chips) http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/33?vs=406

As you can see it isn't even close to the performance of the lowest end modern chip that can be considered a 'gaming chip'.

The CPU will bottleneck a 7850 to the point of it being basically useless.
