Hello members.

I just finish this build above for my grandpa. ^^

Although he can't be happier with the work I did for him, I'm a little worried with the temperatures being too high on the processor. It's idling at 45*C. I'm worried because I have almost the same setup http://pcpartpicker.com/p/H9Mb and my computer is idling at 35*C Oc'ed to 4ghz.

As much as I really don't want to take it apart but should I try to reseat the cooler? His computer will be used for general everyday use with a 7 year old playing internet games and when I hop on to play Crysis 3 or BF3 rarely.

That does seems quite high, what is the ambient (room) temperature where the PC is located? On hot days my chip can idle ~40°C, despite the fact its under custom water cooling.

Try running Prime95, if the load temps are resonable (would guess 60-70°C) then that says to me its mounted correctly. Might just be a hot day and that's causing higher idle temps.
