Tranferring games from HDD to new Windows 7

Hello, I have a new computer with Windows 7. I have some games from my old computer on HDD. I don't even know how to open the HDD and see files displyed there.

    You can not just copy the files you actually have to install the games like you did the first time. The exception to this being steam games. You can copy your game saves over however.

  2. if its steam, then you can backup the games on the old and then use those files to restore the game to your new machine.

    I'm not seeing a similar mechanism in origin.

    If they are physically installed then you need to reinstall them

    save gaves can be virtually anywhere, often in 'my docs' or 'my docs/my games'

    is your new machine a laptop or desktop, if a deskop then move the old hdd to new machine, if a laptop, buy a decent sized usb stick and tranfer that way.

    I couldn't find the games I thought had been transferred to my HDD, and am told they can't be so will have to find an alternative to get the ones I desire Thank you for your suggestion and help so freely given bless you. Moneuan
