New Build - HDD Partition

Hi, I'm building my first new build for gaming. I'm going for a 1 or 2TB HDD and would like some advice on how to partition it? (I'm not getting an SSD due to costs, so can't have a boot SSD)


I'd like a partition for the OS (Windows), but I then don't know what to do with games/programs and then files.

Should games/programs go with the OS or with files?

Also, how much should I partition?

I'd keep all your programs and games on another partition. Put 100GB for your OS and then the rest for the rest.

I suppose it's good to keep everything seperate in case I ever have to reinstall windows for whatever reason
