Hi guys!

So, I want to put a system together for my music production. I do not game, the only things the machine will be used for is Music production /recording and multimedia/internet. I want to be able to run DAWs like Cubase and Reason with some heavy VSTs loaded on while recording. I want as low recording latency as possible and I want it to run smoothly and not crash under pressure. This is what I'm considering so far:

Motherboard: AS Rock LGA1155
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007KTY4A6

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007SZ0E1K

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0036Q7MV0

Graphics: I will use my ATi Radeon HD 5450 from my current PC

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006EWUO22

PSU: Corsair Builder Series CX
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0092ML0MY

Case: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004351H9G

I will use my Line6 Pod Studio GX as an external sound card (it has done an excellent job as such so far)

Are there any problems with this build? Anything that's not compatible with something else? Do I need a more powerful PSU? Also is there anything that is too much for my needs? eg. is the memory too much or the CPU too fast? I'm on a budget, so anything I could cut from is welcome.

Thanks in advance. :D

Hi nikkelektrik!

I see no problems with your build.

I would suggest adding an SSD, and making it your boot/apps drive. This will considerably speed up your system performance. The HDD will be used to store your media files and other documents.
