We had a small power outage recently. Judging from my analog clocks,
it couldn't have last more than two minutes.

After the outage, the ReplayTV acted as if all of the input jacks were
dead. I "re-booted" the RTV by pulling the plug for 30 seconds. It
was back to normal after the re-boot.

The odd thing to me is that I couldn't find anything about power
outages and the RTV in the manual or on the web.

If you are still looking, techbargains.com shows OfficeMax will be
selling an APC 350va unit for $20 after rebate aug22-28.

Actually, it says "available now", don't know for sure about the rebates
though... ''Available Now! APC 350VA Battery Backup $19.99AR (28062968)''
