Rate my PC specs as in if it is good for gaming or not?

Hello,
i have a computer runing
Win7 ultimate 64bit spi, intel core 2 cpu 6600 @ 2.40ghz, 2.5gb ram, radeon x1300/x1550 series. Also i have a gtx 275 if thats any better would you recomend swap? im pretty new to pc gaming and would really apprecite some pointers. in the near future i will buy new gfx card but i want to know what is the best for arround 250? and if paying a lil more will be big improvement im all for it

Definetly use the gtx 275 it is a pretty good card but you might want to upgrade your psu if it is under 550 watts.

Honestly, I would build a new pc i mean if you really wanna get down and dirty with gaming high/ultra settings/60 frames/720p or 1080p you most def going to need to get a better rig.
