Hello,
I recently have had issues with my dell laptop (Studio 1537) shutting down unexpectedly. Other features such as iTunes and League of Legends worked without issue. However, I recently disconnected the CMOS battery to reset the sensor (as advised by a very tech savvy friend) and now when I attempt to connect to servers like iTunes and LoL, it tells me either the server is busy or it cannot find the server. Help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi fenrir790,

As I have spent many years with year with Dell tech support. A user (even a high end tech-savvy) is not supposed to replace/reseat the CMOS battery of the Laptop. Desktop is fine, you can mess with it. It would be good, if you can send it back to the OEM......................

Check the time and date on the BIOS.

Also, shutting down in laptops is usually caused by overheating or power issues, did the CMOS reset fix this for you?
