Inquiry about my choice of GPU.

Gainward GTX 550 Ti 1GB gddr5 192bit Golden Sample

Is this GPU good enough for games? I will not play those high res games. My pick would only be black ops? Is this GPU enough or do I need higher ones? Thanks :D

More about inquiry choice
  1. Please tell your whole specs, budget and max resolution.
  2. How much are you paying for the 550ti? If it's $130 or above, it's better to get an HD7770.

So what GPU can you recommend that is suitable for black ops and is budget?

    GTX650ti($150)>HD7770($130)>GTX650 or HD7750

    Take your pick.

You can run Black Ops 2 medium settings at 1080p with a GTX650 or HD7770.

    Oh I see...

If I will use HD7850, will that be enough to run Black Ops at high settings?

Yes. If you're on a low budget, there is a 7850 1GB which is around $170 or so than the standard 2GB version (which is around $200+)

    I see...

I really have to stretch my budget further for me to build a decent gaming rig. Thanks for the help man.

One more thing, will this HD7850 be able to play other HD games at high settings?
  11. 7850 is a great card. It can run most games at 1080p high. Plus, if you're into GPU overclocking, the 7850 can reach somewhere between a 7870 to 7950 in terms of performance.

I can also try that GPU OC'ing in the future. :)

Thank you for all the info man.
