1k$ PC Build - rdy to hit submit order!

I got tired of playing the game where the 7870 with tahiti arch may or may not be available. We can skip over that.
The PSU will hopefully leave some growing room.

Aside from the GPU, is everything pretty much good to go? Im 7$ over my budget but it was a soft budget.

More about build submit order
  1. This is a great build. Get a Crucial M4 or Samsung 840 PRO for your SSD.

    That's all to change.
  2. Why those two over the Corsair Force GT?
  3. Tye are more reliable and faster.
  4. Actually the corsair SSD looks pretty nice. If you do go with the Samsung, I recommend the 830 not 840. It has longer write life.

I will quote you on that, ive owned my corsair for a fair few months now, i have no problems with it at all. Ive always wondered why people dont use Corsair SSD there very reliable :).
  6. They don't have as good of a track record.
  7. Ended up going with the Samsung 840 Pro. Everything has been dropped off via UPS today; just waiting on the case from FEDEX which should come in between now and this evening. Ended up picking up a ASUS VH232H Glossy Black 23" 5ms Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 20000:1 w/Speakers & HDMI @$115 after all discounts.

Will post back later after I get it set up. Mildly irritated with myself I didn't order the correct amount of fans though. Thought I order 4 120mm fans but it was actually 1 4 white led fan. -.- Didn't pick up a cooler yet, but this case is supposed to be stupidly roomy and push a lot of air through so we'll see how it works when it's all said and done.
