3570k/ Msi G45 freezing help plese

I build my pc in October and it has been running find 3570k w/ intel 4000 graphics no video card and a MSI g45 motherboard using Samsung 40nm ram

My 3570k is oc'ed at 4.2hz ram 9-9-9-24 @1866

About 2 days ago my system has started to just freeze after about 40minutes of use and I cant do anything I have to restart pc and then it's fine for another half-hourish.

I'm thinking its my mobo failing but just wanted some input from you guess this is my first system that I have ever built.

Reset the RAM and CPU to stock speeds and see what happens.

How are the temperatures of your CPU and GPU?

CPU 30c when idle and gaming around 38-42c

I don't have a GPU currently using stock Intel HD graphics.

I talked to a local pc repair person and he said it could possibly be that my psu is failing are there any diagnosis test I can run?

Update*

I have updated every driver I can think of. Still havn't tried flashing bios to newest version but I have kinda narrowed it down and really thinking it is my psu that is causing the lockups I had my case side off for about 2 months to lower temps and I looked inside my psu and it was very dusty I think that caused my psu to start failing. Would it be safe to air dust out the PSU and see if that fixes the problem?
