I've got this DVD rom and there is no actual problem except when i try to copy cd-s (Pioneer DVD is primary slave, and CDRW RICOH 7200A is sec. slave).
As i remember my dvd rom should be 10x/40x, but when i go to select which device to use to copy contents of cd to hdd speed of DVD rom is maximum 22x?!, while CDRW speed is 40 as it should be. I am using Nero Burning ROM 5.5.
Also when i ripp music to hdd speed (DVD) moves from 10-12x.
MB is ABIT KG7, and i haven't install any firmware crack for DVD rom.

To assimilate, or not to assimilate?
