Resize taskbar pin area

Last response: in Windows 7
Share

I'm looking for a way to adjust the size of the area where pinned programs sit on the taskbar.

In WinXP with the quick launch, we had the ability to resize the area & additional icons would either show when the >> button was pressed or would display on multiple lines if the taskbar was resized.

just can't figure out how to tackle this in windows 7...

Thanks!

Hello dabla75;

Right mouse click on the Taskbar.
Besides the options you see there (Taskbar/Jump Lists/Toolbars) you can click on the How Do I Customize Taskbars link for more help.

sorry - not quite what I am looking for...

this has options regarding the system task tray area icons & resizing the taskbar as a whole.

there is no mention of specifically resizing the "Pinned Programs" area on the start bar.

FYI my task bar is already unlocked... all of the options in the task bar properties are indeed set the way I need them.

What I did was unpin everything and set up my own Quick Launch toolbar. I've also reverted to the Classic theme and tripled the height of the taskbar. Smaller icons and more text suits me a lot better.
