Naw no hottie , was at work . On iron and was wet , i just slipped on surface and went down . Lucky it was'nt a smoke stack ( 500 Ft. high ) . Smashed my left ankle , big bones in 3 places and a whole bunch of little bones . Damn it sure did hurt . They took me to operating room about midnight . Was in there a little over 3 hours and shipped me home wendsday night . Still hurts a whole bunch . Robb they was good nurses but only seen a couple cute ones , was really disapointed . Brandy and Roxan was de cute ones .

Yup, the boredom factor got to me after a few days. Went back to work after a week off, and I'm glad I did. The cast on arm makes a tremendous thudding sound on the desk when I type. Looks like no ones sleeping in the office today!

The painkillers are great. I had a few floaty days I must admit. Ribs are better now, and the ankle is fine. Took a couple of weeks mind, but I'm not hobbling anymore.

I don't blame you, thinking about retiring. Like I said to RC, if you don't need the job anymore, just think of the quality time you can spend with your grandkids, and your involvement in their developement. Means so much at that age.

Just got back up ha ha . Hay maybe i'll move . Heck i might be off for awhile , was off a year and a half with the last one . This is not as bad though . WOW RC i think them pain killers are better then the beverages . Everyonce in awhile i just go off into never never land . Wifeys doing a great job , actually i am workin her butt off .How be the RC a doin , got a tad chillyer here , when they took me to the hospital it was nice and sunny , a little latter it started rainin and cooled off . Damn this thing hurts a bunch , said it will calm down in a few more days and not hurt so much . I am suppost to stay off it for 8 weeks . Driving me batty allready . Looks like i'll have to let the kids handle the horse . Ya ain't gonna believe this , there talking about takin the horse to a horse ciropractor ( never heard of such a thing ){smile]

Been pretty busy this week on both my yard & my Mom's. I've got to get the tractor & roller on the trailer to take it over to Mom's place & work with it over there. Gaving gets in the way a bit when I'm trying to do some of it. I have to work at his pace, attention span, you know.

Any who, I got the asparagus bed all taken care of. Around Mothers Day I'll have some great asparagus. I call it my Dad's treat to me. It's the last thing we planted together before he died. I like asparagus with Morel mushrooms in the spring. I also got the rhubarb bed ready & it's coming up. I've got to till all of the gardens yet, but they are to wet.

Got our April Fools going this morning, spitting snow!

Yep Ryan i had a harness on , just did'nt have it hooked in . Was just crossin over , and steel was wet . If i would a been higher i would have been locked on a beam trolly . Was my fault completelly . I can't blame no one . was a dumb mistake by myself . Everythings ok though . It won't take that long to heal up . Whats bothering me is that when you are doing my kind of work you gotta be sharp all the time and i think i am looseing the edge and will have to review some things . Not only can you get yourself hurt but can also be the cause of other people getting hurt . That i don't want on my shoulders . This is the second time i have had a serious injury in 9 years and will have to consider some things . The first time i was real lucky and could have easilly been dead . This time i was saved because it was'nt high off the ground yet . Next time , well ha ha maybe someones tellin me something , unfortunetlly you do loose a little edge as you get older and reaction time deteriates . I may have to take what i got and go home and not play anymore . Thanks for your conscern .

Hey, you've got to get this thing for the shower while you've got your cast on. I have one for a arm. I had my wrist in cast for 8 weeks when I got it cut on. You can get them at a surgical supply store. It looks like a big sock. At the top it has a flexible membrane that looks like the things you stick your hands through in a incubator for premature babies. Any who, you slip it on & it's water tight. You can get in the shower & take your time. It won't let any water in the cast. It really helped me. Duct Tape & garbage bags can't hold a candle to one of these things!!

I might just try that thing , theres a surgical supply store a couple towns up . Will drop in and see ifin they got one . Used the trash can thing on my knee and yep i did'nt like it .

Had one one time , she was doin that prostrate exam thing and i was monnin, she asked if that hurt , i said no but sure embarrassing ha ha . They had me on morphine when i was in ambulance so when i got there they assigned me a family doctor ( got it takin care of latter as i have a family doctor ). This guy was giving me a sales pitch to come to him . Damn it must be tough in this world ha ha . Never seen him again .

I think you much ryan , ya they set it , pinned it and whatever tuesday , but not the cast . Go back next tuesday and if swelling is down i guess they put a cast on then . they got it wraped and splinted now . Doin just fine , a little pain and have to lie down every so offen but really doin just fine . Thank you for inquiring , really love you guys . ( not in bad way ha ha ha ).

Was thinking about that , gotta 20 dollar gift certificate fot best buy ( got for safty award , better get rid of it FAST ) . I know it would cost more , but that would be a good start . Have'nt seen it out yet though , is it out ?

It's out. I looked at Best Buy's web site but didn't see it there. Circuit has it listed for $39.95. I'm wanting to get it. Might be a rebate or some special in Sunday's paper. I'm going to wait until at least Sun.

Ya pretty funny , better use it up , or they might want it back . Don't know what it cost for 3 hours in the operating room , 6 hours in the emergency room , 2 nights in hospital , etc . , but i will bet its a pretty penny ( IronMike blushes with shame )

Just checked Best Buys .com , and they got it. Says the stores could have it also , 40 dollars like you said . Highly recomended by RC , can't get no better then that .

Ha ha , Aubbie this guy was'nt a bad fellow . He was BIG , did not look like a nurse aide . Was workin 2 jobs gonna bring his Mom and Dad up here . I don't know what you fellers make down there , but he was making 9 dollars an hour doing the nurse thing and 10 dollars an hour workin part time at the other thing . Thought he was doin grand , and i did'nt think it was that good . I gave him my name and number , we take apprentices in fall of year , told him i would sponser him ( maybe he could get in ). Hes a hard worker , on time , and cares what hes doin . Thats enough for me . Have to serve 4 years apprenticeship , but start out at 18/ hour . When i get on my feet i'll get him paperwork and send it to him . Being i am one of the older members i do have a little pull , but if i keep getting hurt that may go away ha ha .
