go to www.mrfixitonline.com...there is a link to an article that says they will be using a blue laser as the new standard in DVD burners and roms. So, I wouldn't buy a burner just yet as there will be more compatible ones coming soon.

My computer is slower than molasses.

It's not a "DVD standard", but a "Blu-Ray Disc".

you do realize that blue ray isnt coming out quite yet and there are a ton of DVD movies to watch right now?

on a side note i visited CREE Lighting in town that designs those blue LEDs. neat stuff.
