File and printer sharing has to be enabled in all the operating systems. In XP, you run the Network Setup Wizard from Control Panel but in Vista or Windows 7 you go into Network and Sharing Centre and make the adjustments to the menu options. Taking out the password sharing requirement will simplify things. If your server runs Linux, you need to configure SAMBA - post back for more details.
