So im building a gaming rig and want to know is it good for gaming and play games like battlefield 3 on ULTRA at 60+ FPS

Case > Corsair Obsidian 650D
CPU > AMD FX8350 Black Edition 8 Core Processor @4.5Ghz
GPU > Gigabyte GeForce GTX 690 4GB
RAM > Kingston XMP Beast 16GB 2400MHz
Motherboard > Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z
Hard Drive 1 > 2TB WD Caviar Black
Hard Drive 2 > Corsair 240GB SSD
PSU > Corsair HX 850 Professional Series HX 850W
CPU Cooler > Corsair H100i
OS > Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

Ive seen some really interesting benchmarks for Crysis 3 recently . No IB or SB processor was as good as the FX 8350

You have more RAM than you need for gaming

And the psu is overkill . Eevn 650 watts would be enough

And you might as well use Win 8 .
Its a better OS than 7 once you have uninstalled all the metro apps and added a start button
