I dont know much about hardware, more a software person. However the desktops in currys and argos which are already built are so overpriced for what you could make yourself! I was trying to build a gaming pc for just over £300 however i failed and have gone way over my budget. However the money can be sorted, however first would this setup work? - hoping it will! Are there improvements or unnecessary things here?

MOBO - Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 - £51
CPU - AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz - £105
GPU - Gigabyte GT 630 2GB - £49
DVD - Liteon Ihas124 24x Dvd/rw - £13
PSU - Casecom 500W 12cm Fan PSU 20+4pin - £15
RAM - Crucial 8GB DDR3 Ballistix Sport Memory - £39
CASE - Casecom 5788 Red LED Fan Case - £28
HDD - WD 1TB Green SATA-||| HDD - £50

Total = 350

All Prices rounded to nearest pound, unsure of P&P, however all components from same shop

Operating System im unsure of, although i can get Windows 8 OEM for £80 which is kind of expensive, any ideas?
Really dont think i can go over £400 including OS, Please Help!
THANKS! :hello:

PS. The gaming which i would be playing is mostly GTA IV with mods, possibly skyrim and cod as well

I've seen many review on the 630 which had skyrim on medium settings and no lag at all, its the best cheapest gpu since the motherboard has no intergrated graphics.
The 7770 is expensive, i said i was way over my budget so i just cant afford that, and the 80 plus bronze is more than 2x the price on my psu which has a 9.5/10 with 38 reviewers.
Thanks for the help though
