I just installed Rallisport Challenge on my new computer running XP Pro SP2.
My Sidewinder Precision Racing Wheel is recognized and it appears to work
when I configure it in the game controller section of the control panel, but
when I start the game, the game won't use it. I selected "Wheel" as the
input device but nothing at all works. Will this wheel work with this game.
If not, can anyone recommend a good wheel that will?

Thanks,

Dave

Wheel should work, bth mine do on two diff pc's one with 98SE and other XP,
same game.

Two things to try.

1) make sure wheel is the only attached controller then try game. If this
doesn't work, reboot pc with just the wheel attached and try again (to
insure it's set to ID#1)

2) did you bother to go into the "controller setup" screen to indicate what
to use to "steer left/right", "throttle", "brake" etc. etc. No reason to
believe simply setting controller to "wheel" also sets up the actual
axis/button assignments as you expect.

One additional note : before the race I choose to have my "steering" set to
"Loose" rather than "Tight". Doesn't completely rectify the poor "input"
implementation but makes it bearable rather than having steering so twitchy
might as well use buttons or old joypad to steer.
