Hello,

I'm going to be building a workstation for Creo 1.0, possibly 2.0. I'm having trouble finding out what type of system to build for this. My budget isn't too tight but I don't see myself needing over $1500. I work mostly with models of a medium complexity, and assemblies of up to say 50 parts. I'm wondering:

-How processor heavy is it, how many cores will it use, will it use HT? Does it take a lot of CPU juice or does the GPU do most of the hard work alone? How much of my budget should I sink into the CPU?

-GPU, thinking AMD Firepro as they worked with PTC to optimize the hardware/software to work together atleast on version 2.0. Looking at the W5000 and W7000, really not sure how much oomph I need.

-Ram is cheap, not worried.

-Biggest question! To Wait or Not To Wait????? (for haswell :bounce: )

I know haswell will be faster, but how much do i care about more CPU speed in the first place?
I know it will bring a new socket along with support for faster ram, possibly faster PCI and whatever, haven't looked too deep into it. Worth waiting for though??
