690 on sale?

just wondering if the x90 series ever go on sale for future SLI? Or Nvidia only makes limited supply that they always stay at $1K, like the 590? Is it smarter just to get 680 since they do go on sale in the future?

  1. How about just getting an HD7970 and getting a better performing card for cheaper AND enjoy a price drop when the HD8xxx releases in a few months.

+1, thats what i plan on doing once they get under $300, crossfire ftw.
  3. ^nah. i think it will most likely going like this: introduce 8000 series for a high price for a few months to make 7000 attractive in the eye of potential buyer of radeon :p .

That is very likely, but only until Nvidia responds with their own GTX7xx series. That should not be too long either.

Exactly what I'm planning to do.
I just build my new computer but I'm hanging on integrated graphics until the prices go down.
