Hi there!
I'm constructing a new computer for general purposes, the programs that will get the most of this machine are Lightroom and Photoshop.
I'm thinking on a i5-3570K on an ASUS Z77 motherboard with 2x8gb 1600 RAM, an SSD and a secondary sata disk.

I have and ASUS 7950GX2 card (6 years old, from my gaming era) and I'm wondering if this card will perform better than the integrated HD 4000, taking in mind that I'm not goin' to play any games, only for Photoshop, Lightroom and any other image/video software.
What do you think?

Regards!

Really? thanks for your answer

At beginning I was pretty sure than 7950GX2 was better in performance, but reading how well HD 4000 is gave me this doubt

Anyway, I'll try a little benchmarks on it, just for curiosity.

7950GX2 is a bit better in performance in games but it uses so much power. They will both perform badly in modern games. So, if you don't play games, well even if you play games, I'll recommend you to get rid of it.
