Help finding new computer

Hi,

My current laptop is crapping out on me, so I'm in the market for a new computer. I'm not sure If I want a laptop, or a pc...

I want something that can run games well, but I also don't want to spend anymore then $1000 CAD.

I know I can build a good pc for around $800, but are there any laptops in this range that would work?

I guess the biggest thing when looking at a laptop would be the GPU? I dont know a whole lot about current specs, so can someone give me a hand here?

The first and second laptop both have dedicated graphics so I would choose between them. But, in my opinion, building is the best option.
