Failed to initialize directx 11

im trying to play Hitman Absolution and i keep geetin a "failed to initialize directx 11" ive read that you have to install windows 7 sp1 to fix it but my windows 7 isnt genuine so im not sure what i need to do? can someone help me or i have to instal new drivers. i have the 7870 and i havent upgraded from the ones they came with because i havent had any problems but im not sure.
