Hello forum,
I have recently made the switch to DVI and for some reason there seems to be some degree of horizontal smudging? I am currently using a GTX 480 and my native resolution is 1920x1080. The problem was not present when I was using HDMI and have tried both of the ports of my graphics card. Both my desktop and my monitor are set at 60Hz. Is there a solution for this?
Thanks, Oliver

Using a adapter could cause something like that to happen, the monitor your using doesnt have a DVI input ?

try another adapter.
but hdmi is just as good as dvi for quality, why stop using that.

My monitor only supports VGA and HDMI, my HDMI slot is being taken up by my PS3 and my GPU has a DVI output. The adapter cable seemed good enough quality, both connectors are coated in gold :D

I'm sure its just the adapter thats causing the blurryness on top of VGA not being a crisp and clear as HDMI and DVI.

Ah right, should I get a new adapter cable then?

A new adapter or maybe even try a new cord.
