Music production and Gaming

Hello, this is my first time building a computer, I use Ableton live 8 for music production, various vst plugins and play video games on Steam, like Borderlands 2.
My budget is from 800 to 900~
And i don't think I'll ever overclock

Also, i was wondering if i needed a cooler, this one seems silent, is the stock one loud?

I would suggest an AMD CPU because it's cheaper and they have performed better for multi-threaded applications such as video editing and music production.
