Hi Friendos...

I'm building up a system from old parts for my step dad.
His Requirements: Internet / Office / Casual Games

A have a board with an X3 445 and 8GB DDR2 RAM, Case and HDD left.
All i need is a low budget VCard and a power supply.

Do you guys think the HD6570 (Sapphire, 1GB, 50€) is a good choice?
And core of question: Are 350 Watts enough to run this oldie?

Thank you very much,
s3th

no... the 6570 is a horrible card. less power than my old 9600gt.

never askk yourself if a psu is enough...get a psu for what you need it to do then add 100w to that. my perasonal rule.

casual gaming id say a 7750...it doesnt need a power source

antec, corsair or seasonic psu's are good...some can be found for 40$

Thank you very much for your opinion!

The X3 is basically a pretty good CPU, so I agree with your suggestion and put 50 bucks on top of the budget. :)

Setup will now be:

- Athlon II X3 445 (3,3 GHz)
- 8GB Kingston Hyper X DDR2
- Sapphire Radeon HD 7750 (1GB)
- Corsair CX430 V2 PSU (430W)
- Bitfenix Merc Alpha Black Case

I think this setup is appropriate.
I thought about cooling the CPU with the standard cooler from my i5 3750k.

Any suggestion for Case cooling? I think this setup shouldn't get very hot, and i hope one 60mm case fan pulling the hot air out will be enough?

I'll use 64bit Win 7 or Win 8, not sure yet. Thing is... I have Motherboard, RAM, and CPU left from my old setup. I was running the system with an GTX260, and for short time with a 7850 OC. I think it's still good enough for the requirements. I don't really want to invest in cheap 120mm fans as I have a few 60mm and 80mm left over. Should be good enough, shouldn't it?

As I said, the setup we're talking about is for my step-dad, therefore I'm using the parts that I've left from my recent upgrading. My personal System is now:

- Coolermaster Storm Scout 2
- i5 3750k
- 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 Low-Profile
- Gigabyte GA-H77-DS3H
- 2x HD7850 Crossfire Setup
- 5x Revoltek Air Guard 120mm
- Thermaltake Contact 39

Quite a nice system, everythings running smoothly with really low temperatures. :D

What's your current setup?

in my signature.

thats a nice case.
i got a i5 too...not as fast as yours tho...i got a 7770 on order...i got a hp with a big hdd and a nice cpu...took out the psu. put in a 80+

now im kinda regretting i got a 450w...shoulda got a 600w for a nice 7850 since theyre cheap now.

you paired a unlocked cpu with a h77 mobo?

Got 650W PSU... quite enough. Regarding the Mobo. You're irretating me... :) That would be a kinda useless pairing. Must be the Gigabyte with Z chipset. Hitherto i haven't tweaked the multiplicator, so I'm not sure at the moment...

What's the price of the 7770? For the price of e.g. a Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon HD 7770 you can get a 7850 1GB edition. Should be the better choice, shouldn't it?

Ok must have been a real cheap campaign lately... a german shop had the VTX3D X-Edition for 120€ (~160 canadian $)!
