So far I think I want this
CPU-i5-3570k
Cooling- Cooler Master Seidon
Mobo-Extreme4
GPU-Radeon 7970 HD
Memory - Crucial Balistix 1600 8gb (4x2GB)
Case-Rosewill Thor V2
ODD- Asus DRW-24b1st
HDD- Seagate barracuda 1tb 7200rpm
SSD- Crucial m4 128gb

Any input on making this better is appreciated! :)
Mobo is main concern though.

Hi Dirxcec!

That is a great build for a gaming pc.

I'd say go for the 8 GB, and use the money saved to get a more powerful video card. The GPU is where you will see the most noticeable performance increase, as compared to Ram.

It is a desktop. I never stated it was a laptop. Most gaming builds are desktops and I've never heard of a homebuilt laptop anyways.

For gaming it looks like a solid build. .. Think about this tho. Ive had many video cards recently. I currently have a radeon hd 7850 that runs battlefield 3 on Ultra around 45 frames.. What i am suggesting is that unless you are trying to be futureproof, you could actually save a few $$ on some of you components and spend them on cooler accessories, like gaming mouse/keyboard 3d monitors or eyefinity.. I lowered my gpu, swapped my intel processor for amd 6 core, and now have eyefinity setup, and honestly havnt even tapped into more than 25% of my processors capability while hardcore gaming and encoding video.
