Change Monitor frequency refresh?

I have a Fire GL 1000 Pro graphic card which supports a 1280x1024 resolution at 75Htz refresh rate. I am sure my monitor - Hitachi 2111M 21" - supports that rate but Win2k gives only a 60Htz rate without the chance to modify it.
I know I probably have to modify the registry for that, can someone tell me how to do it please?

Have you tried unchecking "Hide modes that your monitor can not display" and also have you loaded your monitor drivers?

Yes, I did both. However, if I check the monitor driver, it says that "Windows did not need a driver for my monitor" or something like that. It has probably installed a generic driver...

I used a little utility called Powerstrip v2.78 and it works fine. It sets the refresh rate I want at start-up.
