RDRAM Coolers

I have (2) 512mb Samsung double-sided RDRAM modules. I heard these run pretty hot. Do you need a cooler for them?

There should be a heatspreader on them. Other than that, you do not. If you plan on extreme overclocking, you could always think about setting up a fan to blow directly on them.

BTW, single-sided run hotter than double-sided, as the chips are twice as dense.

Speaking of which, if you DID want to use some sort of 'cooling kit' for RDram...where could you buy one? The only Memory cooling kits I have seen at any of the sites I have found on the internet have been ones for SDram & DDRram. Does anyone even make something like that...and I don't mean just a fan that you have to find a place to mount that MIGHT, depending on your board & case's layout, point in the general direction of your RDram memory.

There is an interesting site that I ran into... actually the real place as I was walking down the street. They specialize in cooling products:

Let me know if you find this helpful

I've been also looking for RD Ram coolers but haven't come across one yet. I think there are only SDRAM cooling kits right now. Well http://www.bigfootcomputers.com/ has a lot of stuff but it doesn't have RDRAM coolers... hmm how much did you get ur 2 512mb Samsung RDRAM modules for?? Been looking for a good price for them..
