I have an older 5165 phone, along with accessories
including the hands-free cradle/mike/speaker/etc for
my car. I'm contemplating switching providers and
won't be able to take the 5165 with me.

What I'm wondering is, do any of Nokia's current
CDMA phones match the form factor and external
pinout of the 5165. IOW, any of the new CDMA
phones that could let me keep my handsfree setup?

The 5165 is a TDMA (IS-136) handset and absolutely will not work with
any CDMA operator. The 5180 and 5180i have the same form factor and
works basically the same and it will work with CDMA networks. The
Nokia 6385 will also use the same accessories except for battery.

I also use the Cark-91 mobile car kit with several CDMA phones. You
can use the Nokia 5185i, 3285, 6385 and the new 6015i with a plug-in
adapter. All are supported by Verizon except the 6385, which can be
activated with persistance.
