I was looking in on building a new custom gaming PC and because I have never done this before, I have no knowledge about parts being able to work together. So below I will post the name and a link to each component and I would appreciate if someone could tell me if they are all compatible, and if not, a suitable alternative. Also how would this computer run new games such as black ops 2, dead space 3 and far cry 3, if only low or medium settings, what could I upgrade to for high settings in 1080p?

Case - XIGMATEK Asgard Pro Chassis ( http://www.dabs.ie/products/xigmat [...] html?src=3 )

Motherboard - Gigabyte Z77-DS3H S1155 Intel Z77 DDR3 ATX ( http://www.dabs.ie/products/gigabyte-b75-d3v-s1155-intel-b75-ddr3-atx-874V.html?refs=50509&q=b75&src=16 )

Processor - Intel Pentium Dual Core G860 LGA1155 3.0GHz 3MB. I didn't see the need here for upgrading to the G870. ( http://www.dabs.ie/products/intel- [...] s=12&src=2 )

Graphics - Asus AMD Radeon 7770 HD 2GB PCI-Express 3.0 HDMI ( http://www.dabs.ie/products/asus-a [...] s=13&src=3 )

Memory - Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600Mhz CL9 Vengeance ( http://www.dabs.ie/products/corsai [...] 3789&src=3 )

DVD - Sony 24x DVD-RW SATA Black Bare Internal Drive ( http://www.dabs.ie/products/sony-2 [...] html?src=3 )

HDD - Seagate 500GB Barracuda SATA-600 7200RPM 16MB 3.5" Hard Drive ( http://www.dabs.ie/products/seagat [...] 0000&src=3 )

Power - Storm 800W PSU 120mm Fan PFC ( http://www.dabs.ie/products/corsair-500w-builder-series-cx-80--bronze-atx-power-supply-8CDD.html?refs=375290000-50113&src=3 )

Hope that is everything I need and again, would really appreciate any help.

I dunno if you still have money left in your pocket to increase;
1. i5 3570k
2. HD7850 or higher
3. 650W or 750W PSU (some reserve power for some OC or leaving for the second GPU in XFire option open)
If you do not plan to XFire or OC...the 500W is ok..

Hi alanm37!

What is the budget for your build?

I will wait for your reply on that. In the meantime here are my thoughts on your current build:

Power Supply - your link points to a Corsair 500W BS CS 80+, which is perfect for your build. The Storm 800W PSU is excessive and is not efficient. Go with trusted manufacturers like SeaSonic, Antec, XFX or Corsair. Get psu's with 80+ certified ratings.

I have other recommendations as well, but that would depend on the amount of your budget.

Also your PSU is VERY overkill. Try this: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/IjRs. No idea of your budget, but that is a very solid build.

Thanks for the reply :)

My budget for the build would be 600Euros. I will want between 500W and 750W PSU as I plan to to OC as much as I can. Would love to hear your other recommendations.

Thanks for reply. I have added both the i5 3570k and the HD7850 to the build. Also I did plan on getting higher than 500W for OC so thanks again :)

Thanks for waiting. I went through Dabs.ie to find the parts, and I must say they have a well-optimized search engine.

Here is my suggested build:

GPU - Gigabyte 7870 HD 2 GB - € 222.41 - Link
CPU - AMD FX-6300 (Hexacore) - € 125. - Link
Mobo - Asus M5A99X Evo R2 - € 110.90 - Link
Ram - Corsair 8 GB (2x4GB) DDR3 CL9 - € 49.91 - Link
Storage - Seagate 1 TB Barracuda 7200 rpm - € 63.70 - Link
Optical R/W - Sony 24x Internal DVD - € 14.74 - Link
PSU - Corsair BS CX600 600W 80+ Bronze - € 65.76 - Link
Case - Xigmatek Asgard 381 - € 41.73 - Link

TOTAL € 699.15

One last thing, the link for the memory is dead or not working and there are so many results for "Corsair 8 GB (2x4GB) DDR3 CL9" so is there by any chance you could send a link for the memory again? Thank you.
