I have a W2000 box (new Gateway) that is on a network. The user signs on, then every ten mins. or so, the user gets the following error:

"This computer is in use and has been locked. Only pclab\ssweeney or an administrator can unlock this computer"

How do I get rid of this message?

Thanks.

That's a either a screen saver option or an Active Directory policy. If it's a screen saver just change it from logon screen saver to a different one. If it's AD you might be stuck with it. Talk to your admin about it and see what they say.

Teeehehehehehe.

rofl.

roflmfao.

That's not an error message. It's a frickin locked workstation. Hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and then hit Enter. Tada! Locked workstation.

When you use screensavers and select the "password protect" option, it doesn't use a screensaver password like it did in windows 9x. It simply locks the workstation. Just have whoever is signed on hit ctrl-alt-del and sign on again. DONT have an admin unlock it...it will kill any running applications.
