Hi i recently put and Amd Athlon 64 x2 5000+ 2.6 ghz in my computer for upgrade, and it works like a charm the only problem is when i use coretemp to check the temperature its around 45 degrees idle and 50-60 when playing a game, these temperatures aren't bad but if i turn off smart fan in the bios it will elevate from 45 degrees to 70 degrees while idle within a half hour. The problem with the heatsink is the fan is loud and annoying, it sounds about 2 times as loud as a laptop fan, and will switch from loud to extremley loud then loud then quiet. It is quiet annoying and makes it hard to play games. I mainly upgraded this computer to run tf2 and minecraft and hl2 engine which i can run from 80-250 fps. But the only thing holding my computer back from being perfect for me is the noisy fan.

Any suggestions on how to set the fan at a certian speed? Or a new fan/ heatsink to get?

I dont know what type of heat sink will fit in my case- The Original Model is an Emachines EL-1210-01e

The Case is Really Small its a Micro Pc
