Game Theater XP: No Acceleration?

I have a Hercules Game Theater XP using it on Windows XP with the 3.02 drivers.

Sound distortion:
1. DXDIAG makes distorted sounds for the 4 3D sound samples played from the hardware buffer. This happens on full and standard acceleration.
2. Max Payne weapon sounds are distorted and play mostly out of one speaker (2 speaker setup). This happens on full and standard acceleration.
3. Half-Life with EAX enabled sounds distorted. This happens on full and standard acceleration.

My first Game Theater XP went kabut after about a week's use. I just got this replacement in today. The sound was equally screwed up on both of them.

If I have to turn it on basic acceleration, that's no acceleration. Does anyone have any advice?

There are new drivers on Hercules' website (4.01, I think). I just downloaded them.

4.10 drivers did the trick!
All problems solved.
