Hi

I just got crysis 2 high res texture pack. I was shooting at an enemy on water and i noticed my fps dropped from 60 to 30, and then i tried just spaming on the water and my fps drops to as low as 15%!!

msi shows that i was getting 100% gpu usage during those moments(it shows spikes).

any idea?

Even a High-End Card gets a Punch in the Face when playing Crysis 2
So I think thats normal. Water usually reflects, which is a GPU intensive thing.

I guess you must not be getting the same in every area, Right?

Which card you have?

Quote:
We test using the Times Square time demo, recording minimum and average frame rates from frame 1000 to frame 4900 of the time demo, with the result being the average over 3 runs.

So there was No Water in there Benchmark Area.

The real Problem is that you have the HD Pack.

Which really sucks Performance but give High-end Visuals.
As listed above, The game is such Graphically Intense that you need a GTX 690 to stay above 60fps in any case.

But as you know, the settings can be turned lower to gain Performance.
Afterall how bad is it to get 30fps for few Seconds?

Xfire 7950 will also Give you a Very Good Experience @ 60+fps.

But I don't recommend Xfire now, As Next Gen is near.
I'll rather get something New.
