Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 7850 2gb black screen problem

I recently bought a new graphics card, the sapphire ati radeon hd 7850, and am experiencing black screens when playing games. Is it possible that the card is not getting enough power?

PC Specs:
4gb RAM
AMD Phenom ii x4 850 3.3ghz
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 7850 2gb
650w PSU (not sure of the make)
Native resolution 1920x1080

It idles at about 33°c and under load goes to 56°c and then black screens

Is it only happening in one game? or all games? check the make of your psu. Some cheap brands of 650w psu may only put out 350w continuous, their rating is a "peak" power rating and often doesnt supply enough juice to the 12v where its needed. Also make sure you update your drivers.

It is happening in all games, I will check if I have downloaded latest drivers aswell

check the temps of your cpu with hwmonitor.

I had the same problem, tried all drivers, clean install of drivers, checked temperature, plugged out - plugged in card itself - nothing helped. Temperature was the idle 29 -30 - when in games - 49 - 56. I allready gave up, but then as a last resort - took the graphics card apart (on mine there was only 4 screws) cleaned off old thermal paste, replaced it with Arctic Silver 5, put everything together - and no problem since. But, please, do it on your own risk, and only if you are out of warranty. This is last thing to do.
