Lights on Lights off

Well I just turned on my new gaming rig everything is connected but when I push the power button the power led and the blue led fans come on for a split second then go off could some one tell me why this is happening? My case is a Rosewill Blackhawk gaming Mid tower my motherboard is a asrock z77 extreme 4 power supply is a coolmax zu series 600 watt please help I'm so close to being done I just got my monitors and everything today

What are your specs?
Coolmax is an awful company and that 600w PSU probably makes more like 400w tops.

really I thought coolmax was good but what else do you need as far as specs also could it be the motherboard

No, coolmax is crap.

Specs would include: GPU and CPU. That's all we really need in addition to the PSU and motherboard.

gpu evo geforce 660 cpu 2600k.....the leds on the fan come on and the case light

OP:
if the system boots then the Led's not lighting up could be a problem with the psu molex plug line, try another plug on the line or get a new psu

nothing boot the led on the fan and the led on the power switch come on thats all

is there any beep? if there is not then it could be the motherboard

no beeping but the led comes on so how is it the motherboard?

well it very well could be if the power hits the motherboard pushing it through to the led's then the motherbaord failes and it stops the power transfering so the leds die... though test your psu it sounds like it is the psu if anything

Okay ill do that tomorrow morning but if motherboard or my psu is dead I can't return them because there passed there return date sigh

normally a psu has around a 4-5 year warranty... and the motherboard... if you went past that i think it may be time for an upgrade

note: the returns if they have "expired" from the place you bought it from for example newegg... just call the manufacture for example your motherboard call asrock and they will rma it

Okay but I brought them from microcenter and I'm past warrnity by 2 days

so... call the company for your motherboard or psu which ever one, tell them your serial number and see if you have any coverage on them through the company that manufacturers the product

yes do that, hmm hey proximum do you think this could actually be a problem with the cpu? i mean i know it sounds kinda far fetched but its either the cpu or psu

Well I did a test boot with the CPU and it booted with beeps and everything and my motherboard has a on board power and reset so I don't need the screwdriver technique actually......I wonder could it be my psu it's a coolmax zu series 600 watt

so wait you did a test boot by not starting it via your computer case?

if yes and it works then its your case just either start your computer by pressing the motherboard, see if you can fix the wires by looking for any holes and may it is in incorrectly(maybe in the wrong slots), or you can just rma your case
