For the moment, I will use two ATI x1950 Pro gpu's in crossfire. Later on I will upgrade and buy a 7870, or maybe wait utill AMD and Nvidia release their new series during the summer (most probable time). Also I already have a 500gb hdd and windows 7. What do you guys think? Good/bad? could i run dayz at decent settings with the crossfired x1950 pros? I have a 1440x990 monitor that i will use this system with. This will be my first build also. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any suggestions, tips, comments, ect ect.

Do you have a budget? Tell us and we will have better suggestions for you. Two ATI x1950 Pro gpu's in crossfire isn't really a good idea. Those cards can barely run DirectX 9 games at very minimum settings.

Around 300-375 is the budget. Maybe a bit more but not too much. Under 400 basically. I have 1 x1950 pro in current pc, i can run dayz at pretty low settings. I would use 2 but only 1 pcie x16 slot. Current pc is pretty outdated. Sempron 2200 dual core @2.0ghz, 2gb or ddr2 ram.

USb3 header case and mb but mb is pretty cheap

Ok, this one looks good, but what if i use a Phenom II X6 1045T 2.7GHz Six Core instead? (http://www.microcenter.com/product/382798/Phenom_II_X6_1045T_27GHz_Six_Core_Socket_AM3_Boxed_Processor). its $10 cheaper at microcenter compared to the x4 from newegg. i would take a x4 from micro, since they have low cpu prices, but they don't carry them anymore. But what about the x6? its six core but clocked alot slower. Do you think i could OC to around 3.2ghz with the stock heatsink with that mobo/case? i would prefer to buy the parts instore instead of online, but if the x6 isn't as good as the x4 for gaming, i will buy from newegg

What about fx 6300
Too expensive. This is a budget build, I want something pretty cheap. I'm gunna get a part time job during summer so i can save up to buy a high end system (1.5k+), but for now i just need something basic that will runs games at decent(mid-high, no AA or MSAA or stuff like that) settings on a 1440x990 monitor. I asked about a six-core because it was cheaper. I'm not likely to get performance boost from 2 extra cores if i'm gaming, so I wasn't looking for anything past quad-core, but this six core is cheaper than the Phenom II X4 965 BE. Also I might opt for a 7770 ghz editon (http://www.microcenter.com/product/403019/R7770-PMD1GD5_AMD_Radeon_HD_7770_GHz_Edition_1024MB_GDDR5_PCIe_30_x16_Video_Card), 99.99 after rebate.

Scratch what i said about X4 not in microcenter. Found it but you need direct link to it, you cant just search up the name, which is weird. Ok, so thanks for the help guys, im going to get last build recommended by stickman. Thank you everybody
