Hello,

I have a 40 ggig IBM HD and used PM7 to create 3 parts. Each one for a different OS.. ME,200,XP. The only one that was given an OS was ME and it boots to that via the PM option opening screen , however when I want to choose another so I can install the new OS, it gives the overall message it does not see the drive.

When I fdisk it, this is what I have..

Partition 1 Non-Dos
Part 2 Non-Dos
Part 3 A Pri Dos ME Fat 32.

How can I get to the other parts so I can install the other OS.

I will mention that I have been told an offsider has been.s messing with PM and this drive, so maybe he has done something.

Hope you can help.

Thank

Dave

If you can, forget about the current set-up and start over.

Use Fdisk to delete all current partitions.

Then create one primary DOS partition and allocate 100% to it and set it to active (Fdisk should do that automatically).

I really do suggest you only have 2000 and one other. ME can be a pain in the @$$. I'm not sure about dual boots with XP, but if possible:

Install XP first.
Install PT Magic 7.
DO NOT INSTALL BOOT MAGIC!!! OR PQ BOOT!!! OR WHATEVR ITS CALLED!!!
Create a partition for W2K (8GB is good).
On istallation W2K has its own dual boot stuff, so simply boot up the W2K CD-ROM, and follow the set-up.
