AMD or Nvidia for Unreal Engine games?

I am really looking forward to Aliens Colonial Marines. It runs on a modified Unreal Engine. My current video card, the AMD HD 5770 meets the minimum, but not the recommended specs.

I was wondering which videocard maker runs the Unreal Engine better, AMD or Nvidia. I think it's time to upgrade. I know some some of them work better for some games than others.

They don't advertise particular brand and considering AMD has been doing great with increasing performance past few beta driver releases and it's cheaper, I'd get 7870XT (Tahiti LE) or better if you can afford. I'm pretty sure they still have the 'never settle' bundle going on too.

As far as I know Nvidia performs better in Unreal games, but they are VERY title specific... Its not engine specific.

Ah good to know that Nvidia usually preforms better with Unreal games. I may end up waiting for benchmarks then.

unreal3 is way way dated. you can go either way and have no problems with it.
