  1. Hi, could you please look at the sticker on your PSU, and tell us how many amps are there on the 12V rail. For $90-$130, you could get a very nice 7770 GHZ.
  2. Probably consider AMD 7770 in that price range. You might want to consider upgrading your PSU at the same time, since you have probably lost about 30-40% of capacity (due to capacitor aging of 10%/year).

    $122 shipped - $15 MIRc = $107
SAPPHIRE 100358L Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card

    PSU minimum upgrade:
    Currently $43 shipped.
    Antec VP-450 450W ATX 12V v2.3 Power Supply
  3. mistake, is not 450, it is 500
    it says:
    yelow blue
    +12v1 +12v2 -12v
    14a 16a 0.8a
  4. yelow +12v1: 14a
    yelow +12v2: 16a
    blue -12: 0.8a

ikas, I don't trust your powersupply, I doubt it even puts out 14amps on a rail.

I agree with luny, get a new powersupply AND a GPU. However, currently the CX430 is on for sale for $25 after rebates, and although the VP450 is a good buy, imo this deal can't be beat. Corsair make pretty good PSU's.

    Good choice of GPU though.

if i give 45$ for psu i have 45-85$ for gpu, i thing is not good idea to give 130 $ to get an upgrade of 85$ gpu... i am wrong?
  8. There is nothing worthwhile from the $110 pricepoint to the $170 pricepoint other than the *currently* overpriced 650ti. If you can find a 650TI for cheap, then I would go for that.

But, you would need a new power supply, as that thing is untrustworthy, and might explode if you put a GPU that would take too much power.
  9. so... my gpu is the best i can have for may psu? and if i get a new psu my mobo support a good gpu?
